Privacy Policy
The short version
- We use your purchase orders, catalog and Shopify data only to build your draft orders.
- We never sell your data, share it with other brands, or use it to train AI models.
- We handle your buyers' details on your behalf and never contact them.
- We delete your data within 30 days after you stop using Orderseam, or sooner if you ask.
Who we are and what this covers
Orderseam turns wholesale purchase orders into Shopify draft orders for apparel brands. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Orderseam, and "you" means the brand using Orderseam. This policy explains how we handle data when we provide Orderseam to you and when you contact us. Questions go to ram@orderseam.com.
Data we process to provide Orderseam
- Purchase orders you forward or upload, such as PDFs, spreadsheets, emails and photos. These usually include your buyers' business details: store name, contact name, address, phone and email.
- Your catalog: styles, colors, sizes, SKUs and wholesale prices.
- Shopify store data: your products and variants, and the draft orders we create for you, including the buyer details on them.
- Account details: the name and email of the people at your brand we work with.
How we use it
Only to provide Orderseam to you: reading your orders, matching each line to your catalog, creating draft orders in your store, supporting you, and fixing problems with how your orders are read. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't combine it with data from other brands.
Your buyers' information
Purchase orders contain details about your wholesale buyers. We process those details on your behalf and under your instructions, as your service provider. We don't contact your buyers, sell their details, or use them for our own purposes. Orderseam creates drafts only, and you send every invoice.
Shopify access
Orderseam asks only for the Shopify permissions it needs to read your products and create draft orders. It never confirms orders, charges customers or changes your products. You can remove Orderseam's access from your Shopify admin at any time.
AI processing
We use Anthropic's Claude to read the text, tables and handwriting in your order documents. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf under its commercial terms, which don't permit it to train its models on our data. We don't use your orders to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's.
Service providers
These providers process data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Anthropic reads order documents (AI processing).
- Shopify holds your products and the draft orders we create, in your own store.
- Namecheap hosts our email, including orders you forward to us.
- Netlify hosts this website and receives messages sent through our contact form.
- Google Fonts supplies this website's typefaces, so it receives visitors' IP addresses.
Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. If we add or change a provider that handles your orders, we'll update this list and tell active brands by email first.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you use Orderseam. When your pilot or subscription ends, we disconnect from your Shopify store and delete your orders, catalog and related data within 30 days, unless you ask us to keep it so you can continue later. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. Draft orders already in your Shopify store stay there, under your control.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access is limited to the people who run Orderseam, and only for the purposes above. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we'll tell you promptly so you can inform your buyers if needed.
Your rights and choices
- Email ram@orderseam.com to see, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you.
- If a buyer of yours asks about their data, send the request to us and we'll help you answer it.
- Remove Orderseam's access from your Shopify admin at any time.
Contacting us
If you send us a message through our contact form or by email, we use your details only to reply and, if you join a pilot, to run it. We don't add you to marketing lists. This website doesn't use cookies, tracking pixels or analytics. Orderseam is a business tool and isn't meant for children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we handle your orders, we'll email active brands before it takes effect.
