Terms of Service
The short version
- Orderseam is new. During the founding pilot it's free, and a separate pilot agreement sets out the details.
- Orderseam creates draft orders. You review each one before it goes to your buyer.
- Your data stays yours. Our privacy policy explains how we handle it.
About these terms
These terms cover your use of the orderseam.com website and the Orderseam service. If you've signed a pilot agreement or another written agreement with us, that agreement applies too, and where the two differ, the signed agreement wins.
The website
This website describes Orderseam. The sample orders shown on it use a fictional brand and fictional stores. They explain how the service works and are not results from customers.
The service
- Orderseam reads purchase orders you send us, matches each line to your catalog, flags anything it isn't sure about, and creates draft orders in your Shopify store.
- It does not send invoices, take payments, change inventory or contact your buyers.
- Orderseam can make mistakes, even on lines it doesn't flag. You're responsible for reviewing each draft order before you send it to your buyer.
Your responsibilities
- Send us only orders and information you're entitled to share with a service provider.
- Keep your Shopify account and email secure.
- Don't use Orderseam for anything unlawful, or try to disrupt or reverse-engineer it.
Your data
Your catalog, orders, customer details and Shopify data belong to you. You give us permission to use them only to provide Orderseam to you, as described in our privacy policy.
Fees
The founding pilot is free for 30 days and doesn't renew or charge automatically. If you choose to continue, we'll agree on pricing with you in writing before anything is billed.
No warranty
Orderseam is new and is provided "as is". We work hard to make it accurate and available and to fix problems quickly, but we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost sales. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you haven't paid anything. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Ending
You can stop using Orderseam at any time by telling us by email. We can end the service with reasonable notice, or right away if these terms are seriously broken. When it ends, we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
Trademarks
Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc. Orderseam is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and tell active brands by email before material changes take effect. Questions go to ram@orderseam.com.
