How to verify a message from Orderseam

If an email or direct message says it's from Orderseam (or "Order Seam") and you're asking yourself "is this Orderseam email real?", good: that's the right instinct for any business tool that touches your orders. Here is how to check, in about a minute, and the few things we will never ask you for.

Key takeaways

  • Real Orderseam emails come from an @orderseam.com address, and their links go only to orderseam.com or Shopify (including the Shopify App Store).
  • Orderseam is run by 369 Delivery LLC, a Texas company. Personal messages come from a real person who signs with their own first name.
  • We never ask for your passwords, login codes or payment details by email or direct message. If a message does, it isn't us.

Is this Orderseam email real? A one-minute check

  1. Look at the sender's address, not just the name. Anyone can type "Orderseam" as a display name. The part after the @ should be exactly orderseam.com, not a lookalike such as "order-seam", "orderseam-app" or a free email service.
  2. Hover over or long-press links before you click. Our links go to orderseam.com, apps.shopify.com/orderseam, or your own Shopify admin. Anything else is a reason to stop.
  3. Check what it asks for. If it asks for a password, a login code, card or bank details, or a payment to a new account, it isn't from us (see the list below).
  4. When in doubt, go direct. Don't reply to the message or use its links. Type orderseam.com into your browser and use our contact form to ask whether we sent it.

What a real message from Orderseam looks like

MessageWhat it looks like
Login codeSent only right after you ask to log in on orderseam.com. You type the code on our site; we never ask you to send it back to us.
PO noticeTells you a PO you forwarded or uploaded is ready to check, with a link to your Orderseam inbox on orderseam.com.
Invoice or reminder to your buyerSent only after you approve it, from your brand, with your brand's details. Orderseam never asks a store to pay Orderseam.
A note from our teamWritten by a real person, signed with their first name, sent from an @orderseam.com address. Our company name, 369 Delivery LLC, is on our website and policies.

One detail that can look odd: the address you forward POs to is an inbound address at our email provider, Postmark (it ends in inbound.postmarkapp.com). You'll see it inside your Orderseam inbox on orderseam.com. That's expected; it's only for POs you send in, and we never email you from it.

What Orderseam will never ask for

Plan payments, when you have one, happen only inside Shopify (for App Store installs) or on a secure checkout page you open from your Orderseam account, never through a link in a direct message.

What about direct messages?

Our team sometimes reaches out to brands on TikTok or LinkedIn. Our official profiles are listed on our About page, and that list is the one to trust: Orderseam has no Instagram account, so any Instagram page using the name isn't ours. A real DM from us will point you to orderseam.com or the Shopify App Store, and will never ask for a code, a password or a payment.

If you think someone is pretending to be Orderseam

  1. Don't click links, open attachments or reply.
  2. If you already entered a password or code, change that password and log out of other sessions.
  3. Tell us through the contact form, with a screenshot if you can. A person on our team reads every message.

Common questions

How can I tell if an Orderseam email is real?
Check that the sender's address ends in @orderseam.com and that every link goes to orderseam.com or Shopify. Real Orderseam messages never ask for passwords, login codes or payment details. If you're unsure, type orderseam.com into your browser and ask us through the contact form.
Will Orderseam ever ask for my login code?
No. Orderseam emails you a login code only when you ask to log in, and you type it on orderseam.com yourself. Nobody from Orderseam will ever ask you to send that code back by email, chat or direct message.
Does Orderseam have an Instagram account?
No. Orderseam has no Instagram account, so any Instagram page using the name is not ours. Our official profiles are listed on the About page at orderseam.com.
